Hot Orange Coffee Cake

Hot Orange Coffee Cake

  • ¼ cup Sugars, brown
  • ½ teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tablespoon Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, with salt
  • 2 cups Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached
  • ½ cup Sugars, granulated
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Leavening agents, baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt, table
  • ½ cup Butter, with salt
  • ⅔ cup Orange juice, raw  
  • 1 Orange peel, raw
  • 2 Egg, whole, raw, fresh  

 Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10 inch round cake pan.

 Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, 1 tablespoon flour, and 1 tablespoon melted butter.

 Step 3
In a large bowl, mix the 2 cups flour, white sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the 1/2 cup melted butter, orange juice, orange zest, and eggs. Stir the melted butter mixture into the flour mixture until well blended. Transfer to the prepared cake pan. Sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture.

 Step 4
Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted in the center comes
